6 Tips for Overcoming Fear + Putting Yourself Out There
One question I get a lot from virtual assistants who want to start their own businesses is “How can I get over the fear of putting myself out there?”
7 Tips for Finding Clients for Your VA Business
The most common question I hear from new and established Virtual Assistants is “How do I find clients?” Definitely a legitimate question because no clients means no money! That’s why I gathered a few tips to help you out.
How (& Why!) to Define Your Ideal Client
One of the best things about running your own business is that you have control over who you work with. Working with your ideal client makes work so much more enjoyable. No more grumpy boss or annoying coworkers because you get to hand-pick the people you WANT to work with, that you’re happy to be around, and that you really click with!
11 Traits of Highly Successful Virtual Assistants
Another question you may have is whether you could be a VA yourself. As a VA, I have noticed that there are 11 traits that successful Virtual Assistants share. These traits are uber important for having an organized and profitable business that clients are happy to refer to anyone looking to hire a VA for themselves.
How to Create and Send Contracts to Your Clients
One of the most important steps in your client intake process is sending a contract that outlines your policies, what your service includes, and anything else that you need to communicate to your client. Learn how I use Docracy to send contracts to my clients.

You’ll need to have an email list to capture visitors on your website. Whether you offer services or sell products, your email list allows you to stay in touch with those interested in hearing from you (who may eventually become clients or customers). I’ve tried several different email service providers (I can recall 4 of them), but they weren’t anything like ConvertKit. ConvertKit is cheaper than Ontraport and has more power than MailChimp.
If you want to start your email list for free, then MailerLite is a great option. Their free plan gives you up to 1000 subscribers and 12,000 emails each month. They also have a drag and drop editor, tons of integrations, and excellent customer support.
