Tools of the Trade
A checklist of basic tools to start a thriving virtual assistant business.
The Complete Guide to Email Marketing
ConvertKit is one of the most popular newsletter service providers out there. I highly recommend learning how to use it if you plan on helping bloggers and online businesses with their newsletters. This free ebook covers best practices, advice, and some advanced strategies.
Take a variety of online classes spanning from design, entrepreneurship, technology and more. It’s like Netflix for online classes. You can start the classes right away and gain a new skill immediately! (You can learn fun lifestyle skills too, like cooking, wine tasting, and hand-lettering. Yay! Start Your Virtual Assistant Business Ebook
Learn the basics of getting your virtual assistant business off the ground. This step-by-step 67 page eBook/ workbook will teach you how to start your own business as a Virtual Assistant. You’ll go through the process of mapping out your services, pricing your offerings, and registering your business so you can build your business quickly.
Client Contracts for Your Virtual Assistant Business
Cover your assets & create clear boundaries with this 4-pack of contract templates. Just copy and paste your desired template into a contract delivery system like Docracy, add your information, and send to your client. Easy!
You’ll need to have an email list to capture visitors on your website. Whether you offer services or sell products, your email list allows you to stay in touch with those who are interested in hearing from you (who may eventually become clients or customers). I’ve tried several different email service providers (I can recall 4 of them) but they weren’t anything like ConvertKit. ConvertKit is cheaper than Ontraport and has more power than MailChimp.
The Nitty Gritty Portfolio Course
Did you know that you don’t need a website in order to be a virtual assistant? Instead of sending potential clients to a website, you can send them a link to your professional-looking portfolio (like this one). Create a portfolio that reflects who you are, what your business does and why. Jay Jones, the course creator, will even read and edit your portfolio as you complete each lesson. That’s a big deal! Plus there’s a private Facebook group where you can ask Jay and other students questions. Perfect for virtual assistants, graphic designers, or anyone in the service industry. Cart closes November 17th, sign up now!

Beta testing my services before offering them to the public was one of the most important steps I took when I started my VA business to attract clients.
